I love A Christmas Carol. I especially love the Muppet's Christmas Carol.

So it got me thinking. What would my own Christmas Carol look like. And while I haven't even begun to scratch the surface of what that could entail, or the things that I would be shown (yikes)... I decided to design this years holiday pins with that in mind. So there is a little fabric Past, Present, and Future represented.

They are Presh Town USA. Also, they were designed as a perfect stocking stuffer. So they actually stand up instead of falling to the bottom of ye olde stocking. Also, they aren't holiday themed so you can enjoy them all year long.

Holiday Cards 2012

I was chastised for years about designing holiday cards. Literally years. So I decided last year to give the people what they wanted and now it's a thing. 3 cards each year. For now anyway. 

This years cards include:

A shark shouting Seasons Greetings

A Hedgehog Christmas Tree

and a lovely card stating Joy. 

As always I have to be true to myself, and by this point, I'd like to think that you'd be upset with me if I wasn't. So it makes perfect sense that this years Yeti is a shark with a candy cane, and that the perfect way to wish someone a Merry Christmas is with a Christmas Tree of stacked hedgehogs. The joy card actually comes from a pattern I orignially designed while I was designing Hello Pilgrim, and have been holding onto for the right moment/time.

Speaking of yetis, how could I leave him out? He's like a holiday staple in my ever changing home. So this year as a special treat I have created the Yeti for All Seasons notecard set. The set includes 12 flat 4x6 cards that state, Happy Birthday, Thank you, I miss you, and Get Better. But I like the way the Yeti phrases things. These are not suggestions so much as commands. He is shouting. And therefore you are shouting. But more than anything I love the idea of being able to write out quick notes on presh town cards. They are thoughtful without too much formality. 

Also, they make a continuous river. I'm just saying...

Holiday Cards!

My Christmas cards finally got in! I don't know what held them up so long, but they got here just in time to still be on time!

There are three different designs! Seasons greetings, Peace on Earth, and Merry Christmas. 

They come in packs of 12, as an individual design, or in a combination pack with 4 of each design! Each card comes with a coordinating Paper Source envelope! I love colored envelopes!

More Secrets, bigger reveal!

So, I have literally, and I mean literally been slaving away at the whole market thing. Luckily, I finally feel like I am starting to see/feel things come together. And since a good portion of you won't be at Market in SLC in a few weeks I wanted to give you a preview, and an opportunity to get in on some of the cuteness. 

I have put together some sweet action gift packs with some products that I have been working on. I am especially excited about my new line of Charmed Magnets. But I don't know if they can out shine the card set... or what a delight it has been to be drawing/ list writing, in a Royal City notebook.

The orange is definitely my favorite color way. Is it weird to baby a colorway?

Cake Party

I know that a lot of you have been very worried. Worried about whether or not there was going to be a cake party. Well you can rest easy from here on out. Because there is one. SO for all of you market goers and friends come to my Semi Annual Cake party.

This years cake is sure to impress all of your senses. Including your sense of humor.

When? Saturday 1 PM

Where? George R. Brown convention center second floor (specifics TBT [to be tweeted])

Who? Any one attending Fall Market who wants to sit down and eat a piece of cake with this one [pointing to myself].

Also, as cake party grows, so does the cost. If you are a loyal cake party fan or are just looking forward to this treat then feel free to donate a couple of dollars to the cake pan.

Hi Campers!

Bean bags remind me of simpler times, and all my attempts to learn to juggle. But your in luck, she has included a list of websites with games and ideas for bean bag uses!

I decided to check out what they pets thought of the bean bags, and how they would best put them to use.

Mickey likes bean bags to practice his jumping skills! Keep reaching for the stars, Mick.

 

Finn on the other hand prefers bean bags for punching practice. Watch out for this one!

Pinecone, on the other hand, looks to bean bags for comfort. She's a keeper.

While Minkee, tirelessly, works on her posture. So much dedication.

Ok. My birthday is on the 17th. You ALL know how I feel about my birthday. I love it. I celebrate it for a week at least. But I am fair in making just as big of a deal about other people's birthday as I make them make of mine. I am turning 25 this. Which means I can finally rent a car... and I am a quarter of a century old and... who knows what else.

Favorite thing #2

My favorite thing this week is definitely my little sisters new blog. 

She is literally one of the funniest people that I have ever met... in my life. Reading Melissa's blog is such a treat, because it isn't really about anything. She's not selling anything, she's not pushing any kind of agenda, she's not trying to get you to listen to her new music, or get you to try a new recipe... there is no business. It's just Melissa being funny about her celebrity crushes, new sewing projects, her cat Minkee, and life in nursing school. 

She is currently garnering all star reviews from our peanut gallery of peeps.

So if you ever want a laugh, check out our Little Melysses S. Grant. She's the House families wild card. You absolutely never know what she will say or do next. And that's why we love her.

My Favorite Thing #1

I was going to make a cute little image to post today for the new "my favorite thing" series, but my brain is fried with work stuff... so I opened illustrator, and just sat there staring at it. It's not going to happen today.

BUT regardless, today starts the every Friday display of my Favorite thing from the week! Anyone who knows me, knows that any given thing at any given moment could be my favorite. So this little post will allow me to have new favorites all the time... which is what I do anyway, so I figured I would at least share it.

This weeks favorite thing needs a bit of a back story:

I have always had a love for Hall and Oates, but that love was solidified a couple years back when Mallori bought Allen a Hall and Oates cassette tape from DI to play in his '92 Buick. We literally listened to Hall and Oates greatest hits everyday, every where we went for about 2 years. Unfortunately, Hall and Oates thought it would be clever to slip in a new song, on a cassette of pure gold, with the HORROR know as Adult Education. As punishment from time to time, Allen would make me listen to it. Knowing full well how creepy and weird it was.

Anyway. I love Hall and Oates. So my favorite thing this week is the new The Bird and the Bee album. It's a tribute album to Hall and Oates, singing their greatest hits. It isn't all of their greatest hits, but it sure is nice to listen to, and thankfully they didn't try and pull a fast one by including, Adult Education. 

It's fun to listen to, dance to, and it has been really great to work to. So I highly recommend that you take a listen. It's only 9.99 on itunes! The highlights are definitely: Heard it on the Radio, and Sara Smile.

And that my friends has been my favorite thing.
