I'm not sure how clear the video is, I was a little delirious from the heat today...
A couple of points addressed in the video:
Chain piece to keep things in order, and to simplify!
Press towards the dark fabric. This will keep your seams all going in the same direction so you can lock them together and pin when assembling your units for your block
Press after the first and second round of sewing. Wait for the final pressing until you have sewed on the corners. I also chain piece the corners. I don't know if it saves thread so much as time...
USE PINS! Your point will be more perfect. I think the bigger chore than pins is unsewing... just use them.
