Red Handed!

I rarely post my day to day projects, so I thought I would share. I did some raccoon research, and I have to say... they are like cat-bears with dog undertones. I wish they were a bit more domesticated, and a little less rabid. They are so interesting!

At home in Texas we live right by the woods, and a lake so we always had deer, opossums, armadillos, rabbits, and raccoons in our yard. It was a problem when we kept a garden, but it was almost like having a living garbage disposal in the yard. One time we had to get rid of an old melon that never got eaten. We just sat it on the back porch and by the morning it was gnawed in half and completely eaten. Most of the white was gone too. Amazing! All the raccoons that we ever saw in our yard were pretty bumbley. They weren't too concerned that we were around, they were just hanging out.
