I had a really eloquent post made up about how I really felt about fall, and where I would be, but typepad is being a regular jerk. Sorry peeps.

I had a lot of fun reading your responses. It was super bogus for me to have to choose a winner all by myself. BUT I did, and then a random peep.

Oh, but first. There was definitely a census. Almost everyone, no matter where you are from would spend Fall in New England. I think that's a pretty cool thing.

I've really been in love with the idea of going to a couple of places, one of which is Japan, so to hear that the Falls are so pleasant was really appealing to me.

Block Print FAQ

I have gotten several questions since posting my block print tutorial, and I don't normally answer questions in comments... I can, and I guess it makes sense so that everyone can read the answer. I just always answer in email form. Sorry Peeps if this has frustrated anyone, also if I owe you a response to something shoot me an email and we will get every little thing squared away. Things get a little crazy sometimes.

But you all know that.

so here is the FAQ. If you guys can think of any other questions just let me know and I will add them. Also, in just a little bit, I am going to do a new tutorial about block registration so you can print multiple colors. Cool huh?

so I got a flickr account LAST year... and I use it all the time, because you have to upload your photos to re-size them for etsy use. Anyway, I just never told anyone about it... oops.

city of sisterly love

Wednesday night, Ashlee, played a show here! It was, as always, so nice for us to all be together. People kept being excited, or shocked, or surprised that there were: 1. three of us 2. that we are looking more and more alike 3. all together. It was a lot of fun, and Ashlee played a great show as always. She just continues to get better and better. Plus the two bands that she was here with were really incredible. I haven't really liked going to shows for a couple of years now, and this one was really worth it

Ashlee was here less than 24 hours, and we already miss her. guh. Hopefully she will be back for my BFA show which opens November 20th. HOLY COW! I've got so much work to do. I'm just checking in to tell everyone that this was a good week! No emergency room visits or anything. Hooray!

Also, today is going to be a dream day, because I get to do a workshop with a couple of other peeps, with Brett Helquist! The illustrator for all of the series of Unfortunate Events. We bought that first book, because we were judging the book by its cover. I'll take pictures and tell you about it. I'm so excited... i've always been a little obsessed with his work

what a week.

it really has been quite the week. Here is a recap: 

Sunday- I was in the emergency room! I had some kind of out of control allergic reaction, to no one knows what. I was poppy red, literally. I got a 5 inch shot in my hip! Woo. I just walked up to the temple, like I always do, and I got there and my neck started burning. Within five minutes it was covering my arm. I walked home called my sister, Melissa to come look at me. I took my shirt off and watched it cover me. I was watching myself change colors! My wind pipe never closed off, but it did give me a really bad case of the chills.

Monday- I started my last semester of my undergraduate career!

Tuesday- I received my strike offs in the mail! and skipped my first class of my last semester

Wednesday- I sent away my strike offs. Talk about torture.

Thursday- I met a lady in the grocery store on Wednesday night. I had decided that I needed some swiss chard, and I couldn't find any worth buying, so this lady comes up to me and asks me if I am looking for swiss chard, and proceeds to tell me that she has more than she knows what to do with and I can have as much as I would like. On Thursday I walked to her work, and she gave me a huge bag of the most beautiful greens I have ever seen.

Friday- my cuties little hair was destroyed! The cut I asked for and the cut I got were two very different things. It was very nice of my friend Allen to wait for me the WHOLE 2.5 hours it took. There is a funny line from a Bob Hope movie that I would always say to make my sisters laugh... it's, "what do you take me for? A round haircut?" Well, now that's all you can take me for. A round haircut. Luckily my favorite movie came in the mail. I have like five actual favorites. I also made this recipe. It is a new standard for sure. Oh, and my mom had a hurricane...

Saturday- I ate so much cotton candy I made myself sick. Cotton Candy in all quantities makes me really happy. What a way to end a week. It was pretty good.

I just got my strike offs, and I couldn't help myself. They are so beautiful! I was just waiting for the UPS duder to get here, and I told my new roommate, that he had better get here soon, because I had only been waiting for this MY ENTIRE LIFE! No really. Who's kidding? Not me, that's for sure. I hope you love it. I will show more in the coming weeks.
