thanks for all your comments and emails in reference to my blueness. I am doing a lot better, I just take it upon myself to work harder than anyone requires of me, and there is nothing to be done about the weather but look forward to the spring.
I had a great weekend! It's nice when things just seem to go so right. It makes you wonder what you were down about to start with.
I have been meaning to post about some of the gifts that I got this Christmas from some of my blogging friends! So here they are....
First, just a couple of days after I got home to Texas we got a UPS delivery from our dear friends at Freda's Hive. They are always doing great stuff! Nanette, sent us one of her incredible one of a kind quilted purses , a little zipper bag, and an oven mitt to which the likes I have never seen. It was the most beautiful oven mitt... I was so impressed with the craftsmanship of everything. MY MOM, kept the purse, and the beautiful oven mitt, but I got the little zipper bag. It's my favorite. I keep my thread, needles, and binding in it. It's just the right size!
When I got back to Idaho there was a package waiting for me, as I mentioned before. One of my favorite people, Joan, sent me the best apron I have ever seen. She knows that I love birds, stripes, and baking! What a great combination. Again, I was so impressed with her craftsmanship, and I pretty much wear it all the time. As soon as I get home; I wear it. I actually really need an apron for printmaking, but I love this one too much to allow it to get inky. This one is strictly a cooking/baking apron.
thanks for the beautiful gifts! FUNNY I just realized something!!!! Look here! I just realized that these two were the ones that won my birthday contest in June!!! How cool is that?! How great?!
thank you thank you thank you!
Wednesday night for Art Night at the Jimison's, I am finishing a quilt I forgot to mention. I will bring it up, however, when it is complete. Until then, have a great week, and then when you know about it (the quilt), you could quite possibly have an even greater week.
here's hoping.
