It was 77 degrees in Houston yesterday, and I had to turn on the AC, so that means that hibernating is over, and I'm back in action. A more accurate statement would be that I'll be visible again...there is lots to share...new magazine projects, a big project, a personal project - I can't wait to share them all!
To start off this new year right (almost 2 months late) I've got a free book for you, Sonoma Rose from the author Jennifer Chiaverini. The kind folks at Penquin Group are offering a free copy, and I wanted to share it with you!
How to win? Leave a comment about why 2012 is going to be a great year for you. The give away will end on 2/26/12, and Penquin will mail the book directly to you. This contest is limited to those in the US and Canada only.
I cannot wait to share my reasons for loving 2012 - it's going to be a good great year!
xoxo,
Cherri
Great giveaway! I love JC's books. I declared in 2011 that 2012 was going to be great year! It's already started out that way...lots of great new quilt projects, going to MQX next month, we're taking a great vacation cruise with my parents in September, my brother's getting married in October. Lots of fun with family!! o:)

There were a lot of dark times during 2011 for my family and me so I am facing 2012 with anticipation of much brighter things. I know it will be better than 2011. I love Jennifer Chiaverini's books. I've read all of them and am looking forward to this new release.

2012, as well as every year, will be great for me because I have a wonderful family and a very generous and patient husband who lets me indulge my yarn and fabric addictions! I've never heard of these books, so I would enjoy winning this one. Thanks for the chance!

2012 is already a great year for me. I am accomplishing goals I have set for myself, though we became empty nestors for the first time this year, we are dealing with it well. I read Runaway Quilt and loved it, I would also like to read Sonoma Rose, how fun would it be if I won it.

I really need to know what the wasting disease that Rose's children have! I've been waiting since her character was introduced! As for 2012, we are planning a cross country trip with the kids to the family cabin. I'm excited since I have never driven cross country.

2012 is going to be great because the health issues in our family are all manageable and going to stay that way!

2012 is already great - mild winter, relative good health for me and mine (other than colds) and a great response to a charity quilt block drive that will hopefully see me donating more than 20 quilts this year!

2012 will be great because I will endeavor to expand my creative sewing without putting any pressure on my self for results!

I love JC's books. I've read them all so far. I think 2012 will bring a renewed joy to our family. I have a niece who will be bringing a new grandbaby into the year in July. I can hardly wait to hold this little bundle. Of course there is a special quilt in the works for her/him.

Thanks for the Sonoma giveaway. We had a rocky beginning to 2012 and are determined to make the remainder of the year better. Better health is at the top of my list. Making the rooster quilt she has always wanted to make is on my mother's list.

2012 is already fabulous because we've broken the drought. Life has been so good and I've been so blessed.. I love Jennifer's books and would love the latest release.

So glad to see you! And I'm even happier to hear that things are looking good for you this year.
In 2012 I'm looking forward to welcoming my first book and my third baby into the world. And finishing up a reno and another big project. It should be a momentous year!
PS I am completely addicted to the Jennifer Chiaverini books.

2012 is the year I take it easy, relax, and enjoy the piecing/quilting process. I'm going at my own pace. I'm also incorporating this into my everyday life. Trying not to worry about the little things and enjoy the family. :D

It's good to hear from you again Cherri! 2012 is a great year as I have finished 4 quilts and plan on finishing more so that I have enough to gift my whole family!

77 in February, must be nice! 2012 is going to be great because I'm going to finish most of my UFO's and quit my lousy job (just as soon as I find a way to replace it, lol).

I'd love to win this book...I've heard so much about these quilting books but haven't read any of them! What's good about 2012...I plan to work on a quilt for a friend's birthday and get lots of other UFOs completed! I hope it will be a good crafting year.

WWEEELLL...2012 did not start off well, after 7 years of losing everyone so very close to me I suddenly lost the very closest to me, my husband, my soul mate, my best friend this month. I will however grieve, give myself permission but will try to be creative??? I will try but need inspiration, what a great way to start. Many thanks for the giveaway and a starting point!

This is going to be a great year just because it is going to be a great year. Many good things are going to come my way and your way. Thank you for this great giveaway.

hmmm any number of reasons....lots of great fabric coming out, my online shop has been having a good start to the year, i am watching with amazement as my little kiddos get bigger....really, it wouldn't be a great year if I knew at the outset what one thing was going to make it great, so rather than call the ball now i am happy to live it out. The books are a great series, I have read a bunch of them, along with the companion pattern/quilting books. Hope you have a great 2012!

2012 is going to be a great year - because I am on the road to a healthier me! Lost 12 pounds already and am trying to exercise more regularly. On the quilting front I am concentrating on finishing UFO's that have been hanging over my head.
Thanks for the great giveaway!

2012 is going to be a good year because we've finally had some rain here in the Texas Hill Country area. The landscape is already turning green, which is a nice change from the overall brown color it's had the last couple of years. Maybe it will get to be as pretty as the cover of Sonoma Rose!

So good to hear from you again! 2012 is going to be great because my family will get more centered and settled in our new home. And I will work on getting some more quilt patterns written too!

Oh so glad to see you're back. 2012 is off to a wonderful start, its a lot about attitude isn't it? (But health is so important and I am hoping yours is back on track)

So Glad to see you're back in the game again! 2012 is going to be a great year for me because I now have a sewing room mostly all to myself (the floor has to double as a guest space from time to time, but there's no bed taking up all that space any longer! Yeah! And I've been organizing my fabric stash into more usable space and color collections. I finally have space for a real Design Wall!
AND I love, love, love Jennifer Chiaverini! Have read nearly every single book of hers. I check out the books on CD from my local library and listen while I sew. How cool is that!
