Paying it forward v-e-r-y s-l-o-w-l-y

Along time ago I participated in a pay it forward project. I was suppose to send a little hand made something within one year...it's been longer than that, but the little somethings are finally made, and will be mailed this week.  I promised I never forgot, actually it's been eating away at me, but it's done, and now I can happily move forward...guilt be gone!

What did I make? Little quilts of course, I've fallen in love with making little quilts; so much so that I'm going to start a mini quilt along! Details coming soon...the mini we will be making will be using solids, so anyone wanting to try working with solids, but up to now has been a little anxious about attempting a large quilt - this will be the perfect project for you!

Ellyn, Andi, and Sarah your little quilts, plus some other little goodies will be in the mail soon!

Fabric Scraps giveaway!!!

Wow...so many responses for free fabric scrapes...thank you!  If everyone comes through, I now have enough folks to take all of the scraps off my hands. If I can let go of more, I will post it here.

I was going through more bins last night, and realized that these scraps are a history of all my work for the last several years. It has been good to go through everything...but I can't look too hard, or I'll start convincing myself of why I need to keep it, instead of giving it away. 

Again...no photos...sorry.  Hopefully I will be able to replace my camera this week, and we will be back in the photo biz.

Out with the old, in with the new! Free fabric anyone?

Happy New Year's everyone!!! I'm excited for 2011, and I am looking forward to leaving some things in the past, and having a fresh start.  I was about to do a blog post, and needing to take some photos; when I remember those dumb thieves took my camera...so no photos. 

Speaking of thieves, because of all the broken glass I'm getting new carpet, I'm happy for that bit of news. In order to get new carpet, I have to remove everything on the floor...this is where y'all come in to the picture. I have several large tubs of fabric scraps that I need to find a home for...I love scraps, and scrap quilts, but the truth is, I have no idea when I'll ever have the time to use them.

Anyone in the Houston area in need of some scraps?  If you are willing to come get them, they are yours!!! It would do my heart good if you were using them for charity quilts, but most importantly, I would love to find a good home for them.
