I'm so excited to have posted my first Moda Bake Shop project...now I get to claim I'm one of the 'Bake Shop girls'...a club I definitely want to be part of!
Do you know what I love best about this quilt? The white crispness of it...this pattern, or recipe I should say could be expanded and modified to create a bed quilt...so many possibilities! A jelly roll or two and some white solid fabric - there will be no stopping you!
Want to see something a little silly? One of the shots I took while working on the photos for this - there was this round cement roll thing, I laid the quilt over it...silly, but fun!
A big welcome to all the first time visitors! Thank you for stopping by, please feel free to look around, and see what we are all about!
Cheers,
Cherri
I saw that this morning -- Congratulations Cherri! I LOVE this quilt!!!

Congratulations. I just love Moda and use it as much as possible. This is a great design and I'm in need for a new bed quilt. I think this is a good excuse to start a new project! Lynne

I love white backgrounds surrounded by all that marvelous color! BTW, how did you quilt it, can't see in photos. Gonna hop on over to Moda Bake Shop and save the pattern!

That's a great quilt! A neat way to focus on a few fabrics or colors. It would make a wonderful wall hanging quilt, too!

Your design reminds me of strips of Candy Buttons. And hair bands too. Always much sweet nostalgia and creativity in your work.

I commented on the moda bakeshop blog that I loved it and had to make it and guess what I did make it. Well I made the top and it is great- so fast- but I dont have any white batting so the quilting will have to wait. One of the reasons I wanted to make this quilt is the quilting looked easy enough for me to do. I cant wait to get the batting and finish it.

I love the design. Very fresh! I was wondering if you had trouble with the strips being cut off grain? Did you use a Jelly roll? Did you trim the strips down?
Thank you,
Jaye

I'm in love with this also. I would like to make a larger size. My VERY old feeble mind can figure out how to make it wider ... but what about the length ??====
