City Quilts arrived on Monday...it was a wonderful day! I'll tell you a little story...at the beginning of the whole book process, I had this vision of myself, standing in my entry way, holding my book, and a FedEx envelope, flipping though the book, with tears streaming down my face, because the book is beautiful and I can't believe it's done. That was the vision before the book barely began, then it REALLY began, it began to get very challenging with everything that had to be accomplished, in a very short, very tight deadline. I began to have doubts, I began to doubt I could get it done. The writing part was a real challenge, the quilts; the quilts were the easy part, but there were still 12, and only 5 months. There were days when I thought I had taken on an impossible task, and then I would close my eyes, and remember what I saw, remember that vision. So Monday, I walk in the door, and I'm in my entry way, holding my book, and a FedEx envelope with tears streaming down my face, because I did it, I actually accomplished what I set out to do. It would be wrong and dishonest to say that I did this on my own...I received emotional support from my friends, and my children - plus two great essays - one by Lizzy, and one by Ashlee, I had help from my sweet Mom, I had help from my dearest BFF Rich, and most of all I had help from God, this was our project, and we did it!!!! I really really love this book and I hope you will love it too!
