I splurged, and purchased a new camera...it's a Canon SD 990 IS...i'm so excited about my new toy! I always feel a little unworthy in the blogging world because I'm not a great photographer, but I'm trying, and that has to count for something. Lizzy (who is a great photographer), say's you're a designer, designer your shots; good point! Ashlee has always been into filming making, and she has tried numerous times to get the rule of 1/3's in my head; she too is a good photographer. Well, I have the equipment now, so I'm going to try harder. This is downtown Houston this morning, as I've said before I love downtown Houston! I don't know if it's because I missed Spring Market, but I'm already getting excited for Fall Market, which thankfully, is downtown.
Here's another photo...I really like the gradation of color between the buildings.
Great photos! What is the 1/3 rule??

That's the same camera I have!!!! I got it a couple of months ago. I loved my old Canon didgital elph, and this one is so much better and more powerful. And its filled with the same technology as the G10's everyone was raving about, for less!! I love the digital macro feature. Well I love the whole thing. Love your photos there.

Congratulations on your new toy!!
Lovely pictures! I showed them to my husband. Is this near Westheimer?
The rule of 1/3, that counts in designing and typography as well. I always frame letterfonts in parts of three letters for an accurate letter-spacing.

First shot looks quilt-like in a way. Follow your bliss in a new medium!

Your shots are great! I love Lizzie's view of photography.
I love the new pattern. By the way, I got my Hacock's of Paducah catalog and you're everywhere! Congratulations!
