Hi Friends (old and new),

Welcome to my blog, and welcome to Fall!  I love the Fall - it is the perfect time of year for Houston, Texas - the weather is cool, and I feel so alive!  There is a special light in the sky, I love the warm glow.  It would be safe to say - this is my favorite season! 

Rules:

I was taking a fiber arts class at school, but couldn't use the quilt as a project because it wasn't appliqued nor pieced way back in the late 70/early 80's

I was a lurker on many blogs for the past year or so, but now I have my own blog. My 2 1/2 year old is my assistant in sewing, and my 6 month old is currently learning to sit in my lap while I run the machine (don't worry - I keep her hands away from the needle). Here is something many bloggers don't know about me. I've homeschooled all my children from the beginning. Kindergarten through 12th grade. Three have graduated and one is still homeschooling. So, teaching my children has been part of my life for 19 years....longer than I've been quilting.
