Okay, let's start up with the celebs we saw; and some we even got to visit with...
Amy Butler- Lovely as ever, with an equally lovely booth. It was funny, I saw her walk outside, maybe to get a breath of fresh air, or something. She was just sitting on a bench, like a regular kinda gal.
Heather Bailey- Always fresh, and cheery with her famous yellow shoes! Lizzy and I visited with her for a few minutes. She was very informative about the trials of an initial fabric line, she perfectly understood what Lizzy is working through, and was very encouraging.
Anna Marie Horner - We were walking behind a lady wearing a blue dress, and Lizzy said "I almost bought that dress". She said something about the woman wearing it, and I said, "Who is it?", and she said, "that's Anna Marie Horner". Next thing I knew, we were introducing ourselves, and having a chat. Her booth was amazing, and those covered chairs are awesome to behold. I just read that she won a blue ribbon for her booth...I made a prediction that she would win...no surprise, it was that great!
Pam Kitty Morning - A good chat about the trials of young adult children...one foot in the door, and the other, ready to take on the world; almost. I have to admit, in my dyslexic twistedness, I always invert Pam Kitty Morning to Pam Morning Kitty...I did it the first time I met her, now I save myself embarrassment, and just say "Pam".
Amy Schimler - What a doll! We were so excited to meet her in person, and we were able to meet her sweet husband Charlie too - he said he was the invisible husband, but he's really not invisable at all. I'll forever be grateful to Amy for her kindness and support to Lizzy. She has been so encouraging, and helpful to her. Is there anything that can mean more to a mother, than another mother aiding their child? To me, that is the ultimate gesture of goodness.
Last, but certainly not least Diana McClun & Laura Nownes...I believe that Laura was actually waiting for Lizzy! She and Diana couldn't have been more excited for her. More Momma's...more encouragement; I told Lizzy that they are her quilting guardian angels!
Others we saw, but didn't get to visit with; Joel Dewberry - lovely booth, and fabric, Valori Wells - she seems so friendly, and warm; Kaffe Fasset - hot as ever, and Lizzy's forever crush!
It was really exciting having quilts in three different locations - Soda Shop in Andover's booth, City News with Robert Kaufman, and I Do! at Brewers. I was like a mother hen, walking from booth to booth checking on quilts, making sure they were all safe & sound. Here's a look at I Do!
So that it was for Spring Market...we had such a lovely time! I was so happy to see Lizzy, and spend a little time with her. It was also wonderful being able to spend time with Eric and Julie - they are amazing! There is no telling what the next 6 months will bring, but it's definitely going to be an adventure.
Wow! It sounds like you had a fantastic time -- Congratulations!
