I love cherries - I really do! I love lots of things...we use that word in our family ALL the time. Not lightly, not insincerely, we actually mean it with all our hearts! Lizzy's friends tease her because she's always saying "I love that song...I love that movie...I love that painting" Finally they get fed up, and "say, oh really, what don't you love?"
Here's a little list of some things that I love...
- Cherries - they remind me of Idaho, summer, my Grandma - who I loved, and miss so much
- Mitered corners - odd thing to love, I know. I don't attempt them very often, but when I do, and they turn our right - life is good!
- My children - I love them with all of my heart
- My Mom - she's a dream!
- My Friends - I'm so grateful for them
- My Pets - Stella, Pinecone, and the Mickster...they are my little family
- Quilting - I love quilting, I love fabric, I love my bloggy (real word, just made it up) friends - I never would have imagined finding such dear people through this forum
- All things sparkly - glitter, snow, Christmas tree icicles, anything frosty...when I see something sparkly I gain the vocabulary of a three year old little girl "oooh SHINY".
In honor of my love of cherries, and all things sparkly I've created Cherry Fizz, one of several new patterns that we are releasing this month. No one does frosty fabric better than Holly Holderman. I have no clue about the industry secrets that she knows, hidden away in some vault somewhere I'm sure, but there is something magical about her frosted fabrics. You can iron over it without any difficulty at all. Some frosted fabrics will bring your iron to a screeching halt, but not Holly's...they are a amazing!
