Take a look at this! Are you guys scrapbookers, as well as quilters? Do you know www.cosmocricket.com? Cosmo Cricket is a scrapbooking company owned by my cousin Eric Comstock, and his awesome wife Julie. They have the greatest website, check it out if you are not familiar with it. Eric & Julie have teamed up with Andover Fabrics, and have magically turned their scrapbooking paper into fabric. It's beautiful (soft too), and so much fun! Guess who gets to turn their fabric into a quilt for Market? Yep, that would be me! I'm so thrilled, and honored.
There are lots of exciting projects in the works, most of them are top secret at this point, but I think someone should pinch me (though I hate being pinched). It just doesn't seem possible, all of these exciting things happening in our lives. Lizzy has the best news, she's given out a few hints about that one! Be sure and look for the Jitterbug fabric line after Market. Big splashy prints, fun stripes, and border prints too.
Pop over Lizzy's blog and enter her contest for a FREE FAT QUARTER PACK, AND A HANDMADE BOOK. I thought she should automatically give the fabric to me...since I could always use more fabric, but she said "no dice". So it's a contest, list your favorite 3 things, least favorite 3 things, and win her really cool stuff. A handmade book from Lizzy is priceless in my opinion!
Thanks for all of your positive response to Girl Power! It's been so fun seeing how many of you guys downloaded the free pattern, and wasn't Lizzy's cool logo the best? Be sure and send us some photos of your Girl Power! quilts - we'd love to see them.
Have a safe and happy weekend!

I’m not a scrapbook fan so I’m new to Jitterbug. Congratulations on the assignment to design a quilt for this gorgeous fabric range! Yesterday I bought all the Kona Cotton colours for the City Park quilt! It was hard to find all the colours at one on-line shop, so some are in backorder.

What blessings you have! I'm very happy for you. Jitterbug looks like so much fun.

Is the whole family multi-talented? Is there not one person who is marginally clumsy and uninspired? lol
I'm happy to know such a family!

I get on the computer all the time intending to check up on Alton, then I get distracted by all the eye candy along the way...I am so, so glad he is doing better!
Now I have to tell you that I use the word "love" all the time and I truly am very sincere when I say it. I know people have to be thinking that it's just a word I throw around a lot when I like something, but I really do truly love so many things...ESPECIALLY cherries! So I cannot wait to see that quilt and a bigger piece of that cherry fabric that you laid underneath and behind everything in that picture just to drive me crazy! lol!
I also love that latest City Park quilt! That colorway is gorgeous and it looks so comfy! And OMG-the Girl Power quilt...I love it so much I want to make one for both of my girls, but I'm going to have to figure out some way to use a lot more of that snail print that is so freaking adorable!!! I think that will be the backing. I think I'll head over and download that pattern now.
Take care and keep well!

That is really exciting news! I am a scrapbooker and beginning quilter...I think I love quilting because it reminds me of scrapbooking paper and vice-versa! I love Cosmo Cricket and did a whole album for a friend in Cosmo paper!
I am such a nerd that I know all the designers, but I love it and I have discriminating taste what can I say!
First time to your blog...look forward to coming back!
