A couple of years ago I decided that I would enter the Hoffman Fabric Challenge. I purchased my fabric, studied the application, came up with a plan, and quilted the heck out of my project. As I prepared to box it up, and send it on it's merry way, I realized that I had completely misread the instructions. What I thought was the date that the project had to be postmarked, was really the date that the quilt had to be on someone's desk. Silly me... Oh well, now my challenge quilt hangs on our brightly colored orange wall. Note to self, next time read the fine print a little closer.
I'm sure it would have done really well too - it is beautiful!
When I entered the Festival of quilts this year I wrote the dealines on my calender, I just knew I'd get it wrong otherwise.

Writing the date on a calendar would be much smarter than trying to remember something I'd read. Good idea!

Aww, Cherri! I think I'd still be crying over that one. What a gorgeous quilt. At least your constant reminder there is a beautiful one. :)

It looks beautiful on your wall. I am sure you would have done excellent in the contest. As fine as the picture is, it does not due justice to the actual quilt.
One of your biggest fans,
Love, Mother
