ok really quick, I sat down to watch a minute of the American Idol, Idols Give Back, and Annie Lennox sang, and I just cried my little eyes out. Wow, I really love her a lot. Her music helped my mom, my siblings and myself get through some really hard times when we were little. That and the whole cause always makes me cry...

it has finally gotten a little warmer.. well today it had anyhow, but it will probably snow tonight. At least the snow is melted!

This was the day that I needed to get to, and here I am, nearly done. Sorry I haven't been sending any emails, it feels as if finals have never been this stressful, but maybe I feel like this at the end of every term. Who knows? I can't remember. I'm off to New York on Friday to see my fabric peeps, and to visit some friends, and because of some successful art sales, a bit of shopping will ensue. Have a great rest of the week everyone!

some life

real quick. This was such a great weekend. My best friend Jessica came up from home to visit for a couple of days. There is nothing like someone who really knows and loves you to ground you again. We talked, and made really good food. That's really all you need I think... that and listened to nearly every version of the aria of the Queen of the Night from Magic flute on youtube. I say again, what more do you need? Also, two of my dear friends got married on Saturday. They had a reception on Friday night, and we had so much fun dancing. Everyone was sweaty. Not just me.

art wise: i've been painting a lot lately in the last little bit. Well, i've been painting, and printing, but the painting is in a more presentable state right now.

this was a fun piece. We were supposed to do something with "brilliant whites," and I just said... what is whiter than a sheet of paper? I always get a little nervous when I interpret the assignment to fit my smart alec ways, but it actually went over really well... whew!

this piece was influenced by my dream of dreams Edward Gorey. It is a commissioned piece for the band Canoe, for their upcoming tour.

more later. This is going to be a crazy week, and next week just as bad, but THEN I get to go to New York for a couple of days, and then home to see my mum. I can make it for two more weeks.
