Block Print FAQ

I have gotten several questions since posting my block print tutorial, and I don't normally answer questions in comments... I can, and I guess it makes sense so that everyone can read the answer. I just always answer in email form. Sorry Peeps if this has frustrated anyone, also if I owe you a response to something shoot me an email and we will get every little thing squared away. Things get a little crazy sometimes.

But you all know that.

so here is the FAQ. If you guys can think of any other questions just let me know and I will add them. Also, in just a little bit, I am going to do a new tutorial about block registration so you can print multiple colors. Cool huh?

Ok, everyone have a good day, and enter my little Fall drawing if you haven't already. It has been really fun reading about where your Fall homes would be. I am going to close it Saturday Morning 9 AM (North American Mountain Time (SLC)).

With regard to heating the linoleum to make it easier to carve... I let it warm up in a sunny window or try to work with it in the sun. This seems to make enough of a difference that I can carve for a bit longer before my wrists give out.

Thanks Dawn! that's a really good idea!

Lizzy!

Wow, thanks for sharing this, it's such great info! I'll be linking to this!

If I have 2 lino blocks going at the same time, I sit on one while I'm carving the other, to warm it up a little.

HA! I love that!

I just read Jesse's comment. That is hilarious and smart. I love it.
