I'm loving the whales - especially the one with its tongue sticking out! Very, very fun. Your block print is making me want to make one after all these years - I think the last time I made one was in college. But I'm fresh out of linoleum, and not an art store in sight. (sigh)
I'll just have to live vicariously through yours. :-)

thanks so much - I bought the necessary materials for a linocut a while ago but just needed a bit more of a push. This is it, I'm definitely printing next weekend!

Oh, and is it possible to use good quality oil paints?

Thank you so much for the tutorial. I've done several blocks before but didn't know about the photo copy, blender marker technique for transferring... That is really cool!

I guess she doesn't read this because there are no responses to the other questions... but hopefully someone else will see this and can help me out. :)
I'm wondering how you apply two different colors to the block? Like in that bird print...

This is a terrific tutorial. Thanks for making it available to the world! I have a couple questions for you when you've got a chance: Got any tips or shortcuts for printing with more than one color? How small is the smallest carving tool you use? I'm also curious about printing on fabric - any inks you would recommend that can survive apparel-washing? Thank you!

This is a GREAT tutorial. Can you please tell me where to buy linoleum blocks and what brand carving tools you use? I want to try this with my kids. Thanks! (:
