OK. Portland, Oregon, my dream come true for sure. I got there on Wednesday, and wish that I was still there, although I will have you know that the weather in Rexburg is finally in it's magical summer state. Back to Portland though... my dream city.
First night, Wednesday night, we had dinner with the Andover peeps, and that was soo great. We got to sit and talk with our Cousins Eric and Julie of CosmoCricket. You can check out their blog here. After dinner we headed over to the famous Powell's book store....more like book city. Literally. I think that's their slogan. I found at least 12 books that I wanted to get... only three of which I did. It is an incredible store
Thursday. Hanging out in the pearl district with Eric and Julie and my Mom. For all of you lovers of DWELL if you ever get a chance go into a Design Within Reach store. They have a good website, but it isn't a fair representation of the actual work. One day when I actually live in a house again, I would really like this to be a part of my work space. Plus George Nelson is a dream designer.... also this is the rocking chair that I want when I eventually have a child someday not any day soon. We also found a really great cupcake shop. Cupcake Jones.

it was a really cute shop, and the cupcakes were great. Check out their menus, and if you are ever in Portland go there. We also paid homage to Anthropologie. Then was sample spree, but that's part two.
I don't mean to sound redundant, but Friday really was a dream come true, and as such I took lots of pictures which I will put into a photo mosaic to spare your poor little scroller fingers. My friend Carl showed me around, and shared many facts about his beautiful city with me.
Saturday was hilarious. My Mom and I had some time to kill so we went to the Portland Art Museum. Turns out they have a newly recovered Van Gogh... cool huh? I recommend stopping by if you are in the neighborhood.
Portland is great. I think I am going to move there in January. I have been looking for a place, and this just might be it.
