being a child/product of the 90's, I grew up making mix tapes. During the summers we would sit next to a stereo with a tape in the deck, our fingers on the record button, and our favorite radio station on, 104.1 KRBE. We would sit and wait, and wait, and wait until a song that we wanted came on, usually something like "The Sign," by Ace of the Base, or "Buddy Holly," by Weezer. We were avid. I was especially.
Now cassettes are out and cd's are almost out due to the mp3 player, but I stand firmly by my love of mixes, and I stand by the fact that I can make a mean mix cd. I am so confident in this that I challanged my friend Tyler to a mix cd battle. We tried to come up with a clever name but it never really came to. But the battle is most deffinetly on.
The theme for this battle is "Getting Pumped," Music that will get you pumped up. We made all kinds of rules, and we actually asked our friends Jessica and Brett to judge our CDs, because we can't judge each other. So tomorrow is the first deadline and we have to send off our little projects to be judged.
So not only is the CD itself being judged, but so is the art work.
I can send you the rules if you are interested in having your very own mix cd battle, or you can have some fun and make up your own. I can also send you the template for the score card!
