Remember the drawing that I was suppose to have on the 31st to give away 12 crib size rolls of Hobbs fusible batting, and obviously didn't? I didn't forget, I promise, I really didn't. The truth is I'm going for the worlds record on who can have a headache the longest, and so far I'm at about 6 six weeks. I've had more doctor appts & tests than I can count, and more still to come. So, if you don't mind, just leave some more comments about batting, or about headaches, or why you like me so much (kidding, kinda), or whether you realize that my daughter Lizzy House (artist, and fabric designer extraordinaire), and myself Cherri House (owner of Cherry House Quilts, designer of all Cherry House Quilts patterns, and author of City Quilts) are actually TWO DIFFERENT PEOPLE...Mother (me) & Daughter (her). Peeps are confused by this all the time.
Thank you for your patience, your prayers, and good wishes! As soon as I have an ounce of energy, I will draw those 12 names, and get your prizes moving in the right direction ♥
xoxo,
Cherri

Hope you find some relief for the headache soon. Are you prone to migraines? I have really enjoyed your book and y our solid quilts. Just realized from an earlier post you're from Humble, TX. I used to work there, about 25 years ago. I imagine I would hardly recognize it now. Agian, good lulck with the headache and please enter me into the batting give away. Thanks.

Headachs are awful and I hope you feel better soon. I get them often but I take 2 Aleve and I am good to go! My mother and I quilt and we always have people say oh...I did not realise that she was your mother.

Even with a headache, you gave a wonderful lecture to the Philadelphia Modern Quilt Guild this Friday. I so enjoyed seeing your quilts and hearing the fabulous stories. Thank you so much for making the trip and I can't wait to start experimenting with solids after the great inspiration you gave us!

Cherri--
I hope your docs are getting things figured out and that your headaches are being controlled-- or at least moving in the right direction. Prayers continue. I don't want to be nosy, but let us know how you are doing. As several people have said, make sure someone checks on the dental angle.

Looks like someone already mentioned seeing a chiropractor... sometimes the pain can happen when stuff gets out of alignment. Feel better soon!
Oh, and I'd love to put that batting to good use. I have several quilts ready to sammitch and quilt!

Get well soon!

I see someone else has already noted this, but in google reader all of your posts show up as being written by Lizzy, and the address for your blog is at lizzyhouse.typepad.com, so I guess that's how people get confused.

hi Cherri, oh I hope you are better soon! Maybe it's your eyes...I had a miserable time with a bad prescription...they had entered the wrong axis in my lenses and it wasn't so much that I couldn't use them them but over ti e my head was killing me! All this unsolicited advice...but anyway feel better and I love your city quilts book and solids and would love to try fusible batting. It has a bad rep in my circles from some other kind a few years back...so I have a chance to change that a little in showing it off to my quilting buddies. Take care friend! Pam in Chico

I hope you're feeling better soon! Headaches are so debilitating ...
One reason that maybe people get you and your daughter mixed up - on Google Reader, all your posts show as being by Lizzy House. Did she set up your blog and put her name in somewhere as owner? Her name doesn't show up on posts when you actually look at the posts on the blog ...

I get bad headaches too - most of them actually caused by tight muscles in my back and neck! When I get that headache right above my eyebrow, I know it's time for a clinical massage with trigger point therapy. It is NOT relaxing and hurts like hell while they're rubbing on the knots, but once those knots release, my headaches are gone!! I tend to trigger them when reading and QUILTING. All that looking down is bound to screw up something over time, right? Google trapezius and SCM trigger points and maybe something will click for you!!! Get better soon!
