I've been feeling a little woe is me lately, nothing major, just lots of little things. After a while though, those little things all start to build up, and can feel overwhelming. What to do, what to do??? The best thing for me is to remember all that I am grateful for, and to count my blessings. One of my blessing is all of you...my friends! Since I'm thinking of you lovelies, I thought it was a time for a goody giveaway - I even bought you a present...don't you love presents? I do! When Lizzy and I were raiding the Liberty of London goodness at Target, I picked out some stationary for someone special - I just don't know which someone special yet. Since this is a quilty kinda blog, I MUST throw in a some fabric, right? Some lovely bits of fabric left over from some recent projects like this one, and this one, and maybe this one too!
How to enter? Leave a comment, and share something you are grateful for...your family, your job, your dog or cat, quilting of course, Spring? Any little thing that brings a smile to your face, and lightens your cares. Gratitude - best medicine ever! We will pick a winner on Sunday...maybe even two winners - like one from the US, and one from far far away!
Cheers,
Cherri

I am grateful for life in general, for the birds, sun, sky, water, good health, and laughter. Most importantly, I am grateful that my 11 year old daughter still enjoys good morning kisses & hugs, as well as cuddle time in the evenings while we read together. As "corny" as it sounds I am grateful that I can be grateful for all the wonders of the world. Lastly, I am grateful that in most countries women can attend school; unfortunately there are countries that currently ban women from attending school, and they risk death for secretly doing so.

I am grateful for the freedom we have in Australia, for living in these times where technology has made the world a smaller place, and where I have been able to make a whole new group of friends worldwide through internet, and I am most grateful for my hubby, children and wonderful grandchildren.

I'm always grateful for my family. I've been feeling grateful for my job and health insurance even if I don't like my job and my insurance could be better.
I always feel very blessed when the kids come up to me and give me a hug because they say it looks like I need one :)

I am SO thankful that God sent us a wonderful tuxedo kitty as a stray seven years ago, and who now lives in our garage full time.
Eddie is a special cat. At first he would run away as fast as he could (using his crippled legs) if we so much as even "glaced" at him from the window. But now, he lives for our hugs and kisses, and kisses us back to show his devotion to us.
When the temp hits 30 degress we plug him in- that is, we plug in his heated house where is stays nice and cozy all winter. Until he found us, we think he probably survived the elements by living in underground culverts. If he gets spooked by anything now, we know that is where he can be found.
We had to trap him to take him to the vet to treat all the bites he had received from other tom cats in the wild, and he needed to be vaccinated and neutered. He most definately woke up as a "new man" after that trip.
His favorite food is frothy raw eggs and warm milk in the winter.Whenever he hears eggs being beaten in the kitchen, he comes to the door to get a frothy.
In the summer he becomes a homicidal maniac and keeps the mice and other rodents at bay.
We love you Eddie. Thanks for taking us in to your life!

I know what you mean by little things that seem to join forces to create that feeling of melancholy. The long winter just makes it worse. I'm grateful for my husband's understanding to get me through this, even though he has his own tribulations to endure.
Hope you feel chipper soon.
