I love, love, LOVE your quilt! What a great "playtime" project. Having the instructions would be great. I really enjoy your blog! Thanks for sharing your inspiration!

PATRICIA RAY

I love your comments on "sisterhood", too often we as women tear each other down rather than helping and cheering each other on. Keep up the good work.

Your flowers are beautiful.

Lucy

Wow! That is a gorgeous quilt - I would *love* to see more detailed instructions so I could try to make one myself (I have this big bag of scraps .... :) )

And I couldn't agree more with your comments on women needing to support each other more, rather than getting critical over each others' interests and achievements. Good on you for putting it out in the open.

Laure

What a creative quilt and thanks for the soapbox! I never would have considered using a plaid fabric for leaves, but I think it looks great. As in real life, the online communities can be a wealth of support, or a place for people to be ugly. As long as our hands are busy and our minds are thinking creatively, therein lies the value.
I recently found your blog (sorry, I can't remember where the link was) and your work is inspiring.

Shannon

Love it. I think any sort of creativity is wonderful, personal.

Trish

I work in a field where it is common knowledge that the experienced "eat their young". This is a direct quote I received from an instructor in nursing school. I have seen it to be true. I think it is just like what you were talking about and I simply do not understand...

Lovely quilt. I'd love to see directions to make my own!

pam

I love it! And I particularly love the little leaf fabric that looks like ivy in the arrangement.. its all very pretty.

Jenny

Wow Cherri! I know it is just a play quilt, but wow! I love it. and you are right we need to stick up for each other, support each other and cheer each other along!!!

Isabel

I am new to your site. I love your little quilt. I am not a creater of "art" quilts but I love looking at them and admiring the work of talented artistic quilters. I too have heard criticism about certain venues in quilting and agree that there should be no exclusions. We are all creative in different ways. We should acknowledge and support it all! My rainy day work is embroidery.

amy

Wow is all I have to say! Love love love it.

Louanne

Wow! It is simply beautiful. I hope that you will share the instructions - Although this blog is a recent discovery for me, I love it! Louanne

Pamela S

I would love instructions- this would be a super way to use scraps and create a darling art quilt! Thanks ~

nicolette

Wow, your quilt is gorgeous!

Thanks for your words about sisterhood. Women can be so critical towards each other. Let’s all enjoy life and our talents, no matter what we make and how we do it!

Claudia

I love this quilt - I don't know how many times I've peaked at it over the last couple of days. Instructions would be great!

Penny McMorris

Great quilt (fabu, as one of my great gay male quilt friends no longer with us used to say), and beautiful statement. Is it okay with you if I link to it from our August EQ Newsletter?

Connie

I would also Love to do this quilt with you. I really appreciate all the colours, the rough and soft, all nudged up and cozied to one another. I think it does catch the essence of ALL. Count me in! Will you be letting us know the when? I won't take the chance of missing it, and will check in regularly!!! ~Thanks so much for good thoughts and creativity~Connie

Rachel

I'd love to do this quilt-a-long with you! I think this would be the perfect project for me to have a go at free motion quilting (Which I haven't had the guts to try yet, I'm a stitch in the ditch girl so far!). Hopefully my lack of an extensive stash won't be a big problem... we'll see what I can work out.

amy

Cherri, your quilt is SO wonderful (as your quilts always are...)! It is happy and interesting and so fun to look at! I love seeing the variety of fabrics included. Instructions would be fabulous!

marja visser

Teresa

freidasew (shirley)

Cherri, I would love the instructions! This little darling is just beautiful!!! . . . and I so agree with your 'soap box' comments. Sometimes we are our own worst enemy! Love and support . . . I'm
with you, sewing sister!

Frances
